Love's Bygone

Thy life, hath loveth harrowing all of mine,

O blank as oblivion, serene the eyes could find;

Announcing thy summer, ye fragrance made a glide,

Now splashes in my heart, a melancholic tide;

She knoweth mine with an unsung past,

O mellows my mind, for tis’ returneth to dust;

Praise to be ye, as those clouds inscribed on the sky,

To a trance, doth thy ascend, what power to defy;

Betimes, mere sooth, hath ought to behold,

Fane of solitude, thou hast been bold.
